Winter Ready with Boudoir Ch.3

We’re back with another update of getting winter ready with Boudoir! So today, the outfit is :

A MinkPink knit with A BCBGeneration striped skirt. This knit is longer at the back, and a bit cropped in the front, so even wearing it with a pair of high waisted jeans or skirt would be perfect. Top it off with a pair of pumps or tall boots and you’re good to go.

The two golden cuffs are by Justin Love. The delicate golden chained necklace and bracelet with the black jet crystals is by JFG designs.

Winter Ready with Boudoir Ch.2 (with holiday hours!)

So,  we heard your demands for more getting winter ready with Boudoir, and decided to put an outfit together with one of our new arrivals.  Without further ado, here are the two new knits from MinkPink.

The bell sleeves for this Creme coloured knit adds a certain elegance to this piece.

This lovely black knit has a slightly longer back that tapers in slightly. The perfect way to wear this would be with a nude (or any colour other than black works too!) tank top or under shirt to give it that peek-a-boo sexiness.

For our winter ready outfit, we’ll be using doing an outfit with the Creme Knit!

Ta-Dah! Paired with this MinkPink knit is:  a wool blend knit from Left on Houston, a hand knit pure new wool scarf from Granted (We have this in a set with a toque, by the way! So perfect as a Christmas gift!), A JFG necklace ( This is a Vancouver based designer, by the way!!), and a gold bracelet by Justin Love.

This ensemble is perfect to go with a pair of leggings, a pair of our Hue tights, or even a pair of skinny jeans with boots!

Winter Ready : Cozy and chic with Boudoir

As many of us are lugging out the heavy knits and sweaters to brave the (mild!) Vancouver winter chills, we’ve seen some ladies complain about not being able to look chic while being warm! Boudoir will endeavor to change that with an outfit that is winter ready and fabulous.

Contrast in textures, as well as the different fits (ie: Loose sweater paired with a fitted skirt) is something to keep in mind when dressing for the winter! The pieces used in this outfit are as follow : grey sweater by MinkPink, green skirt by BCBGeneration.

A great way to wear this sweater with that long back is to tuck a belt under the excess fabric, while bringing it out in the front to give the loose sweater some definition for the waist line.

A helpful tip to remember is to layer , layer, layer and accessorize! Doing that really does give your outfit depth, as will as an irrefutable visual appeal.  The belt added to this sweater really gives the sweater some definition. That way, you won’t be losing the curve of your waist to that loose fitting sweater!

Get your Glam on!

The holidays are right around the corners, ladies, and everyone’s probably on the same page of searching for new dresses…or even, ways to reinvent their dresses! Boudoir, as always, is here to help you get your glam on! If you haven’t had the chance to come by to be inspired by our new windows, here it is:

First up!

Ivory Mink Pink Cardigan on top of a Black lace French Connection dress. The different textures is not only an interesting combination, but it’s feminine with a touch of delicate accent too! What makes this outfit even better is that the cozy cardigan is probably the softest thing you’ll ever touch… It’s seriously something akin to a heavenly marshmallow…

Who would’ve thought that this pretty little pink blouse by Dolce Vita would look so good layered on top of a staple black dress (by Eight Sixty, by the way)? It looks a little bit like a shawl, when worn like this. Supposedly worn as a top that would’ve been perfect for the office, or with a pair of high waisted jeans, Boudoir certainly took “dress it up” to a new level of creativity, hey!

Next up!

This metallic dress is also by Eight Sixty. It could be a loud and attention grabbing piece, but it turns into a sophisticated outfit once you throw a blazer on top. The lux tuxe trend is still going strong, and it helps that this Bardot blazer feels amazing on – the satin lining is so luxurious.

And finally:

Le Gasp! The sheer black Mink Pink blouse on a Black sequined Eight Sixty dress… This combination must be the epitome of glam, with two of the hottest trends working so well together ( and when we mean hottest trends, we are talking about sequins and sheer fabrics. Boudoir Reveals: Of Lace and Nudes…

What comes to mind when we say lace, nude, ultra feminine, and wardrobe staple????  No, no, NO,  we were not referring to our super comfy and seamless nude Commandos! (Good guess though!)

( Oooh La LA! These actually come in a non lacey version too! )

We’re actually talking about a gorgeous little number by one of the newer brands : Lovers + Friends. This ultra feminine dress will steal your breath away. 

Isn’t it amazing? It looks like you’re wearing nothing underneath, because of that clever nude layer underneath the lace.
